Lake Como & Mount Titlis

After driving through the Alps, we finally ended up in Lake Como – the same lake that George Clooney lives at! Unfortunately, I did not find him there…. We stayed at the Bellavista Boutique Hotel in Brunate, Lake Como.

It was dinner time by the time we got there , so we grabbed some dinner. But while we were eating, it started storm really bad so we just hung out in the hotel that night. But the next day we were finally able to get out and walk around. Because the hotel is up in the mountain, we actually had to take a funicular down to the water.

We only stayed two nights and one day in Brunate/Lake Como. So we weren’t able to see much; but afterwards we ended up driving through Mount Titlis on our way back to Zurich to catch our flight home. Mount Titlis is the site  of the first revolving cable car. There is also a suspension bridge where you can walk along the mountain to view glaciers. It’s the highest suspension bridge in all of Europe.

There were loads of logs just lying on the side of the road the whole way up

All in all, it was a great trip, and nice seeing our friend Paul. Being in the swiss alps and around lake como really made me want to live somewhere with proper mountains one day. Glacier water is just so beautiful.
